My Favorite Resource For Homeschooling Children With Special Needs

Today, I am sharing very best resource I know of for homeschooling children with special needs.

Sometimes, timing really is everything.

My boys have taught me this over and over again. My sixteen year old volunteering for social activities this year. (What?) My youngest beginning to read full chapters. (Finally!)

When it comes to homeschooling my children, I am learning that timing matters more than I have realized.

The same is also true for me.

My Favorite Resource For Homeschooling Children With Special Needs

For several years, I have attended the Great Homeschool Convention in Ontario, CA. It is by far one of the highlights of my year.

Getting to immerse myself in a few days dedicated to my kiddos and their education has been invaluable for me. Seeing the different options, hearing from various speakers, spending time with friends and fellow homeschoolers – it has been a great way to end one homeschool year and begin the next.

My Favorite Resource For Homeschooling Children With Special Needs

The conventions give my access to my absolute favorite and most recommended resource for homeschooling, especially homeschooling children with special needs – Other Moms.

I am not sure how I would’ve survived my first year, or all the years that followed, without real moms, sharing their real life homeschooling experiences. For me, this is exactly what Great Homeschool Conventions has been about each year.

Join Me In 2020

You can imagine, given all of this, how excited I am to officially announce that I will be a Featured Speaker next year for GHC.

(Insert girly squeal of joy here!)

I will be speaking at the Texas, Ohio, New York, Missouri, Florida and California conventions in the Spring and Summer of 2020. One of the things that makes these conventions so helpful is that they offer an entire special needs tract, just for moms like you and me. I am truly grateful to be a part of this dedicated portion of the convention.

You can learn all about the convention and take a peek at the various workshops I will be leading HERE

Timing Really Is Everything

It is only because my boys have made such progress that I am even able to consider an opportunity like this! I have dreamed of reaching more families who are struggling to find appropriate educational options for their children with learning differences and special needs. But it’s never been the right time for my family…

Until now.

This is truly is dream come true.

Please, if you are able, be a part of it with me!
